Liboria (Tommaseo) Gioe

Liboria "Lila" Tommaseo Gioe was embraced in God's love on March 1, 2025. She was born in Sicily, Italy on November 3, 1934 and passed away peacefully at the age of 90 at her home. Liboria was the cherished wife of the late Mariano "Mario" Gioe. Loving mother of Josie Gioe Dardar (Jimmy) and the late Gaetana "Tina" Gioe. Daughter of the late Thomas Tommaseo and Gaetana Digraziano Tommaseo. Sister of Tommy Tommaseo, the late Francesca Navarino, Leonarda Gioe and Rocky Tommaseo. Proud grandmother of Linda Dardar Rosas, James (Shelley), Timothy (Marija), Jonathan (Ashley). Great grandmother of Taylor, Seth, Brianna, Avery, Riley, Ella, Grace, Mia, Stella, Luccia, Nico, Nina and the late Zane Rosas, Mala Dardar and Ezekiel Chauffe. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Liboria's faith was an important part of her life. She took great pride in growing her beautiful plants with meticulous care. She enjoyed long shopping sprees and cooking great meals for her family. She resided in St. Bernard Parish for over 40 years before relocating to St. Tammany Parish. She will be forever missed by all those whose lives she touched.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at OUR LADY OF PROMPT SUCCOR CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2320 Paris Rd., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. A mass will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL GARDENS.
