Linda Ansardi Gagliano passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at the age of 81. She was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard, LA. She was a graduate of St. Bernard High. She was the beloved wife of Salvador Gagliano Sr. for 49 yrs. Mother of Sal Jr., Charles "Chuck" V. (Michelle), Anthony D. (Kristy). Daughter of the late Wallace C. Ansardi and Josephine "Dolly" Ansardi. Beloved sister of Wallace "Wally" C. Ansardi Jr.
She is survived by her great grandchildren Brett, Kaydence, Easton, Millie, Arrow, Camden; grandchildren Meghan, Brooke, Payton, Hannah, Alyssa. Preceded in death by the late Brett Anthony Gagliano.
Linda was a beloved substitute teacher, secretary, and mother to all at Promised Land Academy. She later retired from the Lake Borgne Levee District after many years of dedicated service.
In retirement, Linda found joy in life’s simple pleasures - homemaking, gardening, cooking, caring for her husband and grandchildren, spending time with friends, and faithfully serving her church family. Her warmth, kindness, and loving spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She was a wonderful example of what it means to care for others and will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by us all. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at OUR LADY OF LOURDES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2621 Colonial Blvd, Violet, LA ON Friday, August 28th from 9:00AM – 11:00AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in Linda’s memory beginning at 11:00AM. She will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery.
