

Lois Cramond died at the age of 94, in Athens, Georgia of COVID-19 on September 3, 2021. She was born June 7, 1927 in New Orleans, LA, the daughter of Gregory Milton Alberts and Alice Katherine Fairchild Alberts. Lois was married to George Michael Cramond on September 14, 1947. She was educated at Holy Cross College in New Orleans, LA and was an elementary teacher for 25 years. She loved to travel, and went on several cruises with her husband and friends as well as trips with family to Hawaii, Europe, and Asia. Lois loved being around people and had many friends in Athens, GA, New Orleans, LA, and Colorado Springs, CO.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gregory and Milton, and her sister, Alice Mae. Also, predeceased is her husband, George Cramond, her grandson Adam Martin, and her son in law, Neil Patton. Surviving family members include her son, Gary Cramond, daughters, Bonnie Cramond and Trudy Cramond Dawson, daughter in law, Pat Cramond, grandchildren, Collin Cramond Husic (husband Emir Husic), Emily Cramond Martin, (husband Ben Mitchell), Jordan Cramond Dawson, Connor Cramond Dawson, and great grandchildren, Emil Cramond Husic and Adam Cramond Husic. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Gina Martin, and step grandson, Mason Patton (wife Brittany).
A service of remembrance will be held at St. Bernard Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA, 70043 on Saturday, October 23, 2021. The viewing will be 10:30am - 1:00pm with a Catholic service at 1:00pm. She will be buried next to her husband.
