Louise P. LoCoco, aged 95 years and 257 days, passed away on July 5, 2024, in Carriere, Mississippi at St. Oaks Care Facility. Louise was born in New Orleans, LA and was a native of Chalmette, LA for 51 years until Katrina. Louise dedicated her life to her family as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother.
Louise found joy in simple pleasures; she enjoyed shopping, sewing, dancing with her husband, telling stories of her past, and reading. She was a homemaker, creating a warm and loving home for her loved ones. Her faith was an important aspect of her life, and she was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Picayune, MS.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 45 years, John J. LoCoco Sr, her parents, Alfred J. and Eulalie Cora Peterson, and daughter-in-law Shawn LoCoco.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jean L. Van Winkle, John LoCoco Jr., and Jamie O'Neal (Brett); her sister, Alfreda McCarthy; her grandchildren, Ronnie Van Winkle, Jr. (Casey), Angelle Bode (Terry), John LoCoco III, Jason LoCoco (Ashley), and Jessica O'Neal; and her great-grandchildren, Jacobe Van Winkle (Jaden), Calen Van Winkle, Hayleigh Van Winkle, Cora Bode, Tannor Bode, Adrianna Towns, Jovanna Towns, Luciana Towns, Lexie Sanfilippo (Michael), and Luke LoCoco. She is also fondly remembered by her niece, Michaela Luke (Eric), and her great-nieces and great-nephew, Amanda, Nicole, and Ethan Luke.
She will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her family, friends and all of those whose lives she touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 West Virtue Street, Chalmette, Louisiana, on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 9:00 am -11:00 am. The funeral service will commence at 11 AM, followed by interment at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. Bro. Justin Anderson will officiate the services.
