Maria Celeste Burke Castellanos passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022 at the age of 22. She was the beloved daughter of James Burke and Dea Castellanos. Loving fiancé of Steven Thomas Banegas. Sister of Massiel Burke. Sister-in-law of Karina Contreras. Proud aunt of Aaron Burke.
Maria graduated from Chalmette High School. She stayed home and cared for her beloved canine children Bella, Finn and Sasha. She enjoyed playing video games, doing make-up and ordering take out with Steven. Maria loved to play “Just Dance” and sing Karaoke with her family and friends. She will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. A Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
