Maria (Guidry) Ruiz

Maria Guidry Ruiz, age 67, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and devotion to her family. Maria is survived by her son, Corey Jay Ruiz; her grandchildren, Drake Rinkus, Jena Weber, Courtney Lips, Kurtis LeBlanc, Xena Ruiz and Luna Ruiz; her step grandchildren, Zurvan Ledet, Aiden Ledet and Lillyth Ledet; her great grandchildren, Leo Lips, Conner Lips, Haisley LeBlanc, Eleanor Weber, Briella Weber and Callen Weber; her sibling, John Guidry; her nieces and nephew, Vickie Morrison, Christie Bene, Jimmie Bene Jr., and other unnamed nieces and nephews; her great niece, Elizabeth Dahl and other unnamed great nieces and nephews and great - great nephew, Cooper Dahl and other unnamed great - great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alces Guidry and Gladys Louise Guidry; her son, Adam Joseph Ruiz; her siblings, Christine Bene, Marlene Garcia, Dune Guidry and Jeffery Guidry.

She was a loving mother and loved family very deeply. She thought of everyone else and always put other’s feelings above her own. Maria loved Disney and unicorns and baking. May her journey be peaceful and her memory eternal. A mother’s love never fades- it becomes part of who we are. We’ll honor you with our life, our heart, and with every memory. Maria, you may be gone but never forgotten, your love lives on in us. May you rest in peace.

Relatives, friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 11:00AM- 1:00 PM. A service will begin at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, 2805 Bayou Rd., St. Bernard, LA 70085.
