

Martha Dembrun Brouillette, a loving wife, mother, and proud St. Bernard Parish resident passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the age of 83. She was the beloved wife of the late Roy Brouillette. Loving mother of John Brouillette (Diane) and Darlene Brown (Brian). Daughter of the late Frank and Rosalie Moinet Dembrun. Proud grandmother of Corin Brouillette, Jessica Harris (Peyton), Troy Brouillette, Nicole Brouillette, Joe Lacoste (Marilyn) and Bradley Lacoste (Beth). Great grandmother of Kyleigh Lacoste, Brylee Lacoste and John Levi Harris. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Martha was a native of New Orleans, LA and a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. She was a great cook, loved crafts, camping and the outdoors. Martha ran the concession stand at Rebel Park and Roy Brouillette Center (Lacoste Gym) and coached volleyball for Rebel Park. Martha also enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Council on Aging. Martha touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A memorial gathering will be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. A memorial service will take place in the chapel beginning at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for Martha may be made to World Prayer Tabernacle, 4030 Paris Rd., Chalmette, LA 70043.
