Mary Ann Noel Cantrell

Mary Ann Noel Cantrell sadly passed away surrounded by family on Friday, October 10, 2025 in Picayune, MS at the age of 84. She was born on August 15, 1941 in New Orleans, LA to Anna Buttone Whittle and James Joseph Danton. She was a resident of Chalmette, LA until Hurricane Katrina when she relocated to Picayune, MS and resided there until her death.

Mary Ann enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling, dancing, being a ballpark Mom. Mary Ann was the true definition of a “Matriarch”, the glue that holds the family together. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children Michael Noel, Sr. (Kim Noel); Kevin Noel; Lori DiMartino (Bruce DiMartino, Sr.) and Christine Giovingo (Danny Giovingo, Sr.). Also survived by her grandchildren Terri LaBrosse (Timothy LaBrosse, Sr.); Timothy Hogan; Kechia Riley; Michael Noel, Jr. (Brittney Noel), Kelsey Noel, Kaycie Woodall (Brent Woodall), Michael Soelman, II (Ali Soelman), Gregory Noel (Bailey Noel) and the late Robert Metzler. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her late husband Paul Noel, her father James J. Danton, her mother Anna Buttone Whittle, her brother James A. Danton and grandson Robert Metzler.
