

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary Patricia “Patsy” Borne Meyers, who left this world on January 31, 2025, in Pearl River, Louisiana. Born on August 4, 1937, Patsy brought joy, love and warmth to all who knew her for 87 beautiful years. Patsy was the cherished daughter of Claude and Lillian Borne. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ferdinand Meyers, affectionately known as “Tippy”, who was her partner in life and love. She is also survived by her sister Shirley Lachney. She is preceded in death by her sisters, the late Lilly Mae Adragna, Rosemary Priest and Violet Cure; and by her brothers, the late Harold, Marvin, Gerald “Boo”, Donald, Lloyd, Ray, Syndney, Norman, and Carroll Borne. As a devoted mother, Patsy nurtured and guided her four children- Roxanne Taylor (David), Ricky Meyers (Anna), Kim Mayard (Mike) and Dwayne Meyers (Lori). Teaching them the importance of love, resilience, and compassion. Patsy was also a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren. Mark W. Taylor, Jr., Jeffrey Meyers (Kristy), Mindy Bartholomew (Sonny), Jessica Boudreaux (Blake), Jason Boudreaux, Lindsay Meyers, and Elaine Meyers. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, and she enjoyed sharing her wisdom and love with each of them. Adding to her legacy, Patsy was blessed with seven great-grandchildren. Victoria Bartholomew (John), Jordan Bartholomew, Kayla Bartholomew, Caden Meyers, Bennett Meyers, Brynn Boudreaux, and Brody Boudreaux.
Her love for her family was evident in everything she did. She showed her care by cooking for everyone, ensuring that no one left her home with an empty stomach or heart. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, laughter, and everlasting memories. The family would like to thank Summerfield Senior Living and The Sanctuary at Passages Hospice for all their love and support during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, Masses or Donations may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting the love and generosity that defined her life.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. VIRTUE ST., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM. A Mass will begin at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CEMETERY, 2805 Bayou Rd., St. Bernard, LA.
