Mavis Gervais Kilpatrick

Mavis Mary Gervais Kilpatrick passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the age of 86. She was the beloved wife of the late Maurice Kilpatrick. Daughter of the late Margaret Hopkins Gervais and Charles Manuel Gervais. Sister of Westley Gervais, Garret Gervais, Dianne Cheramie and the late Charles Gervais Jr., Forest Gervais, Earl Gervais, Henry Gervais, Walter Gervais and James Gervais. Proud godmother of Chuck Gervais, Gigi Gervais, Kerri Ronquille and Rebecca Darby. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Mavis was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of Hammond, LA before settling in Slidell, LA. She truly enjoyed life through her simple pleasures of reading, shopping and watching her Hallmark movies. Mavis found pleasure in gathering with her family and friends, enjoyed the details of everyday life and cared deeply for others. She was well loved and will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, March 30th from 9:00AM – 11:00AM, followed by a Memorial Mass beginning at 11:00AM. She will be laid to eternal rest in St. Roch Cemetery No. 1 in New Orleans, LA.
