Milton Anthony Caruso dedicated his life to his family, who he loved dearly. Milton worked for the Public Belt Railroad in New Orleans, LA for 47 years in accounting, retiring in 1991. Milton also served in the Louisiana National Guard for six years in the Adjutant General’s Headquarters building as a staff sergeant. One of Milton’s biggest enjoyments in life was taking his family on vacations each year. Whether visiting the mountains or camping in his Coleman camper at Fort Pickens, Florida, Milton would always ensure you were entertained by his humor and countless adventurous excursions. One of Milton’s more notable and enduring achievements in life, was in taking care of his parents, Pascal and Elvira (Vera Caruso), as well-as his Aunt Ester St. Angelo. Milton was a natural born caretaker, always providing the very best comfort to his beloved mother, father, and aunt. Milton was also best known for being the patriarch of our family, which kept (the Caruso, Volpe, Robinson, Brien, LeCorgne, and Stein families) connected. While Milton never married or had any children, he treated his entire family with the love and affection as if they were his children. Milton never met a stranger he wouldn’t talk to or engage in a good conversation with. It’s just who he was. The man had a heart of gold and it showed when he was around you.
