Misty Lynn Ellis, age 36 years, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at her home in Coden, Alabama. Misty was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and was a 16 year resident of St. Bernard Parish. She was the cherished daughter of Marvin B. Ellis Jr. and Martha Manint Ellis. Beloved mother of DJ (Dorris Jean) Golemon, Samantha and Sheyenne Graves, and Wayne Reid Jr. Proud grandmother of Bentley Golemon. Misty is also survived and fondly remembered by her one brother, Harry Ellis and her best friend, Wayne Reid Sr., the father of her son. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marvin B. Ellis Sr. and Ella Collins Ellis. She was well loved and will be deeply missed by her family and by all those whose lives she touched. Although we will miss her every day, she will forever remain in our hearts. Friends, neighbors and relatives are invited to attend a graveside memorial service to be held in Misty’s memory at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL GARDENS, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, January 29th beginning at 1:00PM.
