

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Peggy Hall Perret, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend. Peggy, 74, had been a widow since 2023, after the loss of her husband, but her enduring strength, kindness, and love for her family remained the foundation of her life. She is survived by her son, Kenneth James Perret (Noel Eve Augustine), and her granddaughter, Kennedi Peighton Perret, as well as many loving relatives and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts. Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, John Wayne Perret; her parents, Hughie Milton Hall and Rebecca Becky Hall Lombardo (Sam Lombardo); her brother, James Milton Hall.
Peggy was born on July 3, 1950, in Philadelphia, MS, and throughout her life, she dedicated herself to her family and community. She was a devoted mother to her son, Kenny, and nothing brought her more joy than watching him thrive. While she loved her son dearly, it was her granddaughter, Kennedi, who was her true pride and joy. Peggy’s heart swelled with love and admiration for Kennedi, and every moment spent together was treasured. Peggy’s career spanned many years and diverse roles. She worked as a teller, where she was known for her friendly smile, attention to detail, and dedication to her work. In addition, Peggy was a talented hairstylist, skillfully working with clients to make them look and feel their best. Her passion for helping others shine was evident in every interaction, whether behind the bank counter or in her salon chair. Outside of work, she had a love for arts and crafts. Peggy enjoyed spending her free time creating beautiful, handmade items. Her artistic spirit touched many, and her creations were treasured by friends and family alike. Peggy's unwavering devotion to her family and her positive outlook on life made her a beacon of love and support to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her selflessness, her nurturing nature, and her remarkable ability to make others feel special. Rest in peace, Peggy. Your legacy of love, kindness, and creativity will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing you.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM. A funeral will begin at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
