Phyllis Lemoine Bailey passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at the age of 61. She was the beloved mother of Christina Lovell and John Bailey. Daughter of the late John and Lena Lemoine. Sister of Patricia, Francis, Linda, Lena, Peggy, Kenneth and Joseph. Proud grandmother of John Bailey Jr., Jordan Bankston, Jayce Bankston and Annabella Bankston. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Phyllis was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before settling in Wiggins, MS. She truly enjoyed life through her simple pleasures coloring and playing bingo. Her love of juicy gossip was surpassed only by her love for her grandchildren. She found pleasure in the details of everyday life and caring deeply for others. She was well loved and affectionately known for her good nature and generous heart. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by us all.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, January 20th from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a funeral service in Phyllis’ memory beginning at 1:00PM. She will be laid to eternal rest next to her parents in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.

Due to COVID-19, face masks and social distancing are required.
