Randy Eric Garofalo

Randy Eric Garofalo passed away at his home on Friday, September 12, 2025 at the age of 42. He was the beloved son of Patricia Morehead Garofalo and the late Robert E. Garofalo Sr. Loving brother of Robert E. Garofalo Jr. (Jennifer). Devoted uncle of Ryder Garofalo. Grandson of the late Raymond Garofalo Sr., Jean Claire Garofalo Riviere, Hilda Smith Morehead and Sidney Morehead. Randy is also survived and fondly remembered by many cousins, relatives and dear friends.

Randy was born in Jefferson Parish and spent much of his life as a devoted resident of Meraux, LA. He found joy in the simple moments of everyday life and had a steadfast commitment to helping others. Those who knew him remember his kindness, sincerity, generous spirit and deep devotion to his family. One of the most cherished relationships in Randy’s life was with his nephew, Ryder. Their bond was profound - more than uncle and nephew, they were true companions in life’s journey, sharing in its joys, its challenges and everything in between.

Randy had a deep appreciation for music of all genres and took pride in surrounding himself with beauty, comfort and the finer things in life. But above all, he lived by a guiding principle that he often expressed: “Honesty and integrity go a long way in the journey of life.” It was a motto he not only believed in, but embodied every day.

Rest in peace, dear Randy. You were our pillar of strength, a source of comfort and a shining example of compassion and love. Your memory will forever live in our hearts, and your absence will be felt deeply by all of us.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Monday, September 22nd from 9:00AM – 11:00AM, followed by a memorial service in Randy’s memory beginning at 11:00AM. He will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans.
