

Robert Lee Eisenbraun, a veteran of the United States Air Force who proudly served his country, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the age of 88. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Lafauci Eisenbraun for 56 years. Son of the late Herbert Eisenbraun and Ida Goldhammer Eisenbraun. Loving father of Gloria Antle, Gail Rosiere (Larry), Gina Faust, Gay Corley (Jimmy) and the late Gwen Eisenbraun and Ginger Eisenbraun. Brother of Charles Eisenbraun (Christine), Kenneth Eisenbraun (Patty), Larry Eisenbraun (Judy), Shirley Dufrene (the late Warren), Sharon Kendall (James) and the late Darlene Meyers (Lee). Proud grandfather of Robert Antle (Haley), Larry Rosiere, Jr., Jennifer Hesler (James), Kevin Rosiere, Donald Faust III (Tabatha), Ashley Mitchell (Travis) and Joshua Eisenbraun. Great grandfather of Robert Mitchell, Robert Aiden Antle, Landon Rosiere, Ginger Antle, Seth Mitchell, Amy Mitchell and Hazel Antle. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Robert was born in Tripp, SD and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish where he enjoyed 42 years as an agent with State Farm Insurance. He was a longtime member of Kiwanis International, the Jerusalem Temple, and the Theodore Roosevelt Masonic Lodge 415 F&AM. Following hurricane Katrina, Robert left St. Bernard and made Slidell, LA his residence. The love for his grandchildren was surpassed only by the time spent with his friends at The Round Table, which began at Lopinto’s Restaurant and eventually made its way to Par 3 Restaurant. He found pleasure in the details of everyday life and cared deeply for those around him. He was well loved, and affectionately known for his good nature and generous heart. He was a wonderful example of what it means to care for others and will be deeply missed by us all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, February 26th from 10:00AM – 2:00PM, followed by a celebration of Robert’s life beginning at 2:00PM. He will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org).
