Robert John Laurent Sr.

Robert John Laurent Sr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the age of 80. He was the beloved husband of the late Stella A. Laurent. Loving father of Diana L. Rinaldi (Michael Rinaldi) and the late Robert J. Laurent, Jr. (Rhonda P. Laurent). Son of the late Melvin Laurent Sr. and Hilda Fried Laurent. Brother of the late Melvin Laurent Jr. Proud grandfather of Robert J. III, Richard, Ryan, Roman and Rachel Laurent. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Robert was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before settling in Hammond, LA. He was an alumni of Brother Martin and graduated from St. Aloysius. Robert truly enjoyed life through his simple pleasures, especially watching movies. He found pleasure in the details of everyday life and cared deeply for others. He will always be remembered for his loyalty and dedication to his family. He was well loved and will be deeply missed by us all.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Monday, June 13th from 9:00AM – 11:00AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in Robert’s memory beginning at 11:00AM. He will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
