He was married to the love of his life, Paula Heffron, for 29 years. He was the loving father of daughters Jennifer Heffron (Jeremy), Amy Heffron (Jorge), and son, Chad Choina (Kim). He was the proud grandfather of Jalynn Saenz and Ayden Garrard. He is also survived by his brother, Cashman Heffron, and sister Judy Cordoba (John), and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cashman Heffron, Sr. and Antoinette Heffron.
Rodney was a long time employee of the Times Picayune, and retired after nearly 40 years of service. He will be deeply missed by everyone who loved him.
A visitation will be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. VIRTUE ST. in Chalmette, on Monday, February 5, 2018, from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM, with a Mass at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
