

Ronald Jude Livaudais Sr. was born in New Orleans, LA in 1936 to Hazel Champagne Livaudais and Eugene Clarence Livaudais. Ronald Sr. a beloved father, retired United States Air Force and a dedicated air traffic controller, also a cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully at his home where he and his wife Beverly Gerhold Livaudais raised three children, seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Countless family, friends and strangers were amongst the number of people he opened his home to. Born on February 1, 1936, Ronald lived a life filled with purpose and joy, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and laughter.
Before his career as an air traffic controller, Ronald served proudly in the Air Force, demonstrating his commitment to service. He was a devoted father to his three children: Ronald Livaudais Jr., Eugene Livaudais Sr., and Hollie Livaudais. Ronald's commitment extended beyond his family; he generously contributed his time and energy to working with special education children and coaching various sports, positively impacting countless young lives. He also found great pleasure in fishing and shrimping, often sharing stories of his catches. In his spare time, Ronald found immense pleasure in the simple joys of life, particularly tending to his farm animals, which included goats and pigs. His days were often brightened by his quick wit and his love for making others laugh with his jokes. Ronald will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Survived by his wife Brenda Nash, brother Larry Sr. (Boo), and his children, Ronald Jr. (Glenda) and their two children Dawn and Caleb. Eugene Sr. (Laura) and their three children, Eugene Jr., Sandy (Chris) and Stefan (Hope). Hollie (Bret) and their two children Mindy (Sarah) and Dean. Along with his seven grandchildren he had 14 great grandchildren, Maleah, Trinity, Nathaniel, Kayla, Chelsea, Johnnie, Ronnie, Landon, Haven, Ma’loni, Rhema, Harvest, Emersyn, and Saylor; his goddaughter Patti Murla; his two nieces, Shelly Boyer and Donna Alberts and two nephews Larry Livaudais Jr. and Keith Livaudais. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly of fifty-four years; his parents, Hazel Champagne and Eugene Livaudais; his two sisters, Lanorma and Joyce Ann (Tita) and his loyal pups, Princess and Lucy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Monday, February 9,2026 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a funeral service in Ronald’s memory beginning at 1:00PM. He will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
