Ronald W. Mistrot

Born in St. Bernard Parish, Ronald was the only son of William “Gee” and Caroline Ann Mistrot. He graduated from LSU, where he also earned a master’s degree in accounting.

Throughout his life, Ronald held many roles and made a lasting impact in his community. He was active in Rotary, served on the Board of Directors for Peoples Bank and Phoenix VIII, participated in ROTC, and even enjoyed appearing as a cast member in the motion picture Interview with a Vampire.

Ronald loved to travel, spend time at the beach, work on puzzles, attend Broadway plays and the symphony, and, most of all, spend time with his family. He was known for bringing everyone together for his annual family Christmas party and Easter egg hunts—traditions that created countless cherished memories for generations of his family.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Cynthia Mistrot; his children, Roberta Price (Jay), Ronnell Whitehead (Charles), Renee’ Donahue (Michael), Rhonda Lopez (Rodney), and Donnie Saucier (Aimie); his grandchildren, Jamie Price Flores (Orlando), Jayson Price, Jaymes Price, Ryan Whitehead (Kelsey), Colleen Hassell (Louis), Caroline Kline (Brad), Mary Kate Williams (Brock), Margaret Schexnaildre (Jake), Rodney Lopez, Jr. (Deanna), Shane Quirk (Chelsey), Billie-Ann Reed (Blaine), Katie-Marie Rumore (Wayne, Jr.), William Lopez, Ronald Mistrot III (Leigh), April Mistrot, Donny Saucier (Lauren), Mallorie Saucier, and Lain Saucier; and his 30 great-grandchildren.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, William and Caroline Mistrot; his son, Ronald W. Mistrot II; his grandson, Justin M. Mistrot; and his cousin and forever Best Man, Richard Najolia.

A celebration of Ronald’s life will be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, August 29th. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM –11:00 AM, followed immediately by Mass. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
