Rosamond Dow Gourgues

Rosamond “Rose” Dow Gourgues, age 98, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2016. She was a native of New Orleans and a long-time resident of St. Bernard Parish. Mrs. Gourgues was the wife of the Henry A. Gourgues, Sr., for 79 years; daughter of the late Eugene and Christine Kenmure Dow; mother of Claire G. Hoffmann (wife of Van) and Henry A. Gourgues, Jr. (husband of Judy); grandmother of Kathryn H. Noland (wife of Randal), Cynthia H. Boyer (wife of Chris), Steven M. Gourgues (husband of Melissa), Russel M. Gourgues (husband of Dawn), and Brian M. Gourgues (husband of Stefanie); great-grandmother of Brittani N. Keegan (wife of Thomas), Randi Lyn Noland, Christopher Boyer (husband of Brandi), Abigail, Andrew, Lauren, Rebecca, Sarah, Jack and Emma Gourgues; sister of Elsie Beaucoudray and the late Doris Hudson and Edward, Eugene, James, Paul, and Cyril Dow. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 pm in the Chapel. Mrs. Gourgues will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
