Rose Mary Godwin Serpas passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 29, 2021 with her family & pets at her bedside. She was 90 years young. Rose was preceded in death by her loving husband Andrew Jackson Serpas; her daughter, Marian Lorraine Alphonso; her sons, John Andrew Serpas and William Patrick Serpas (Sherian); her parents, Frank and Katherine Godwin; her sisters, Eleanor, Anna, Helen and Edna; her brothers, Herbert, Lawrence, William, Arthur and August. She is survived by her daughters Melanie S. VanBolden and Lori Ann Serpas; her 11
grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Rose was a native and lifelong resident of Chalmette, La. She was greatly loved and will be missed by us all.
