Roy Jude Hammer

Roy Jude Hammer Passed away peacefully on Monday, January 10, 2022 at the age of 84. He was the beloved husband of the late Fay Rose Hammer. Loving father of Errol Hammer, Royce Hammer and his stepchildren Paula Guidry Frederic (Jules) and Richard Guidry (Lorrie Nakapaevaokalani). Proud grandfather of Royce Hammer Jr. (Megan), Stephanie Hammer, Anthony Hammer, Diamond Saber Hammer, Daniel Guidry, Erika Lynn Benfatti, Carmella Faye Benfatti, Dominic Jude Benfatti, Great grandfather of Madeline Hammer, Madison Hammer, Bayleigh Hammer, Jordan Hammer, and Royce Hammer, Daniel Guidry Jr., Danilo Benfatti, Antonio Benfatti. Brother of Carl Hammer. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Thelma Hammer, and his siblings Gloria Vitrano and Anthony Hammer Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held in his memory at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
