

Rudolph “Rudy” Peter Nunez, 80 years old of Ponchatoula and formerly of Violet, La was called home on March 10, 2015. He was born on December 29, 1934, in New Orleans. Preceded in death by the love of his life Carolyn L’Hoste Nunez his wife of 36 years, his parents Martin Nunez Sr. and Kinta Villanueva Nunez, siblings Martin Jr. (Rose), Maxine (Marvin), Glenn (Audrey Phillips), Leander “Boopie” (Lena), and Felix “Prunie”. He was a friend to everyone he met, he was an advent sports fan, he loved watching his children and grandchildren perform. He was a devoted family man, he truly loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his children Darren A. Nunez (Dawn Hedgpeth), Tanya N. Bradley (Tommy M. Bradley), Keith J. Nunez (Marci Maiorana Nunez), and his sister Gwendolyn Nunez Cantrell (Lloyd “Gump”). Proud Grandfather of Cody, MacKenzie, and Benjamin Nunez and Taylor, Tyler, and Trystian Bradley. Brother in Law to Henry & Edith L’Hoste, Bruce & Cynthia Guerra, John & Sandra Blanchard, and Sylvia L’Hoste, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum in 1982.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation to be held at ST BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St, Chalmette, La on Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Mass will follow at 1:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Violet, La. 2621 Colonial Blvd, Violet, LA. Burial will be at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery.
