Ryan David Vieregge

Ryan David Vieregge, Sr., age 30 years old, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at his home in Meraux, LA. Beloved husband of Robin Dettwiller Vieregge. Loving father of Ryan David Vieregge, Jr. and Rayden Diane Vieregge. Son of David G. Vieregge and Pamela DiPietro Theriot. Step-son of Raymond Theriot. Brother of Amanda Frances Vieregge. Step-brother of Mindy and Nicholas Theriot. Son-in-law of Christian and Terry Dettwiller. Brother-in-law of Brian Dettwiller (Victoria) and Corinn Dettwiller. Grandson of Diane DiPietro (Tom), and the late Joan Joy and Buford Dole Vieregge. Uncle of Ian DeLeon, Cadence Dettwiller and the late Caige Thibodeaux. Nephew of John DiPietro (Ginger), Vic DiPietro, Sherry Vieregge Foster, Bryan Vieregge, Glen Vieregge (Susie), Robbie Vieregge, and the late Christopher Vieregge. Great Nephew of Nell Mechanna. Cousin of Anthony DiPietro, Ava DiPietro, Victoria DiPietro, Krystal Latiolais, and many more Vieregge cousins.

Ryan was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. Ryan’s greatest joy was being a devoted husband and father (daddy). Ryan loved his family and friends, and he truly enjoyed family gatherings. He was also extremely loyal to friends and family. Ryan was a passionate and successful football and jujitsu competitor. He loved boiling crawfish and was successful in crawfish boiling competitions.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
