Shirley A. Chiappetta

June 13, 1969 – January 10, 2024
Obituary of Shirley A. Chiappetta
IN THE CARE OF

St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home & Gardens

Shirley A. Chiappetta passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the age of 54. Shirley was born on June 13, 1969 in New Orleans, LA to Lynnda Richard Chiappetta and the late Paul V. Chiappetta Jr. She is survived by her grand children: Sean Chiappetta, Brooklyn Chiappetta, and Aubree Chiappetta. Nieces: Kortney Combe (Alex) and Jordan Chiappetta. Brother Kevin Chiappetta, Sister in law Karen Chiappetta, and brother Paul Chiappetta III. Daughter Megan Mulkey.

Although small in stature, Shirley had the biggest heart in the world. She took great pride in raising her grandchildren. Spending time with them and her best friend, her Mom, was when she was happiest! She enjoyed the times when family was together during Thanksgiving and Christmas, going to eat at restaurants on the weekends, and tailgating at Southeastern football games. Right behind her grandchildren was her love of dogs! Shirley had a real soft spot for all animals. She always talked about her life in St. Bernard, as she had many friends. She enjoyed heavy metal music and going to Park Chenier . Her great sense of humor and ability to laugh at everything was always enough to light up the room. She will be deeply missed but impossible to forget. Shirley was humble and selfless. Her life will always have a positive effect on those who were blessed to know her.

There will be a private service held in her memory. She will be laid to rest in St Bernard Memorial Gardens.
