Stanley Gordon Jones

Stanley Gordon Jones, a Veteran of the United States Army who proudly served his country during WWII, passed away peacefully at his home in Houston, TX on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at the age of 88. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends who he loved dearly during his very memorable life. He was the beloved husband of the late Charmaine Ann Molaison Jones. Loving father of JoAnn Jones Walthers, Mark G. Jones and Jane-Ellen Jones Monson. Father-in-law of John Walthers, Ellen Jones and Michael Monson. Brother-in-law of Joe Molaison. Proud grandfather of Jennifer Walthers, Juleigh Jones, Christopher Jones, Gina Zaccari, Anthony Zaccari, Grant Monson and Zachary Monson. Great-grandfather of Allison and Nicholas Zaccari. Uncle of Warren Michael Molaison. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many cousins, relatives and dear friends. Stanley was well-travelled, well loved and never met a stranger. He was a joy-filled man with an abundance of charisma, charm and feistiness, coach to countless who needed a wise mentor, philosopher, and an avid bowler who could spin a vicious hook. He will be remembered for his loyalty, laughter, dedication to his family and his caring & loving spirit. His legacy is a reminder of what it means to be a pillar of courage and strength. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Sunday, December 27th from 1:00PM – 2:30PM. A memorial service in Stanley’s memory will take place at 2:30PM, followed by military honors. Burial will be private.
