Stephanie Louise Krimser

Stephanie "Stevie" Louise Krimsier, née Jones, passed away peacefully at home on August 24, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. She was 76 years old. Stephanie was born in Bryan, Texas, on September 24, 1949, to the late Pat Pierson and Richard Jones. Though Texas was her birthplace, New Orleans became her home and she loved the city, its people, and the life she built there. In 1968, Stephanie met Tom Krimsier on the Algiers Ferry. Tom was immediately smitten, and the two quickly fell in love. They were married soon afterward and began a life together filled with family, adventure, faith, and love. Early in their marriage, Stephanie and Tom traveled to San Francisco, where they lived for a time with their son, Eric, before eventually returning to New Orleans. Stephanie devoted much of her working life to serving others. She worked for the New Orleans Public Library and later for the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She was a woman of deep faith who loved Jesus wholeheartedly and remained a faithful member of Waveland First Assembly of God Church. Above all else, Stephanie loved her family. She had a tremendous heart and a remarkable capacity to make the people around her feel loved and welcomed. She was beloved by all who knew her and by countless others whose lives she touched along the way. Her kindness, warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents, Pat Pierson and Richard Jones, and by her beloved son, Eric Krimsier, who passed away on December 16, 2020. She is survived by her husband, Tom Krimsier; her daughter, Libby Carver (Jeff); her son, Michael Krimsier (Blake); her grandson, Gus Carver; and her granddaughter, Lorelai Krimsier. She is also survived by her siblings, David Jones, Karen Adams, Claudia Diorio; Marcus Jones, Celeste Barfield and Susan Pierson; and many extended family members and dear friends. Stephanie leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and devotion to family. Though she will be deeply missed, those who knew her take comfort in the knowledge that she lived a life rooted in love and faith and is now at peace with the Lord she loved.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, September 5th from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a celebration of Stephanie’s life beginning at 1:00PM. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony.
