Suzanne Marie Curtis

Suzanne “Susie” Blanchard Curtis passed away while surrounded by her family on Friday, April 10, 2015 at the age of 53. She was the cherished wife of Brian Jay Curtis. Loving mother of Kimberly Secrest, Jennie Secrest, Irvin Secrest and Chad Jacobsen. Daughter of Doris Robin Blanchard and the late Irvin Blanchard. Daughter-in-law of Aline Curtis and the late Clarence Curtis. Sister of Norris “Pete” Blanchard, David Blanchard, Lori Cordes and the late Irvin “Bub” Blanchard and Judy Hockaday. Proud grandmother of Hope Morales, Jurzie Roberts, Raquel Guidry and Serenity Dalton. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Susie was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish where she was passionate about her New Orleans Saints. She was well loved and affectionately known for her good nature and generous heart. She will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who loved her friends and treasured her family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF CHALMETTE, 305 E. St. Bernard Hwy., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, April 18th from 11:30AM – 1:00PM, followed by a celebration of her life beginning at 1:00PM. Burial will be private.
