Terry Edward Ballon, a devoted husband and father, passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 69. He was married to Donna Seyer for 44 years and had three daughters: Ashley Seyer (Kerry Smith), Cheyenne Seyer (Trey Wilson), and Paris Seyer (Jude Robin). Terry was the son of the late William and Rita Ballon and the brother of Donald, Joe, and the late Chuck, Gregory, Gomer, and Charlene Ballon. He was also a proud grandfather to Jasmine Smith, Adam Turni Jr., Aubrey Robin, Harper Wilson, Graham Wilson, and Piper Wilson.
Terry and Donna raised their three daughters in St. Bernard Parish. Terry was an exceptional family man, and many of his family and friends affectionately called him “Mr. Mom” due to his unwavering devotion to his daughters. He was a man of immense strength, boundless love, and profound wisdom.
Terry’s life was filled with numerous responsibilities. When Cheyenne gave him the baby boy he had always wanted, he quickly took on the role of a father figure in Adam’s life. Terry found joy in the simple pleasures of life. One of his favorite activities was spending days fishing with his baby girl Paris, son-in-law Jude, and granddaughter Aubrey on Grand Isle. He found peace and tranquility in the act of fishing with a fishing pole in his hand.
Terry’s last few years were spent cherishing memories with his family. He watched his oldest granddaughter graduate high school, watched football games and boxing matches with Adam, and supported his favorite basketball player, Aubrey. They also played endless games of Go-Fish, where they couldn’t decide if Harper was letting him win or not. Terry even gave boxing lessons to Graham and watched Piper change outfits over and over. There wasn’t much papaw couldn’t do.
He enjoyed watching Westerns, reminiscing about his life, and pushing through for his loved ones. His oldest daughter, Ashley, and oldest granddaughter, Jasmine, helped care for him. From doctor visits to scooter rides that usually ended with Ashley running after him. There were many moments when no words were needed between him and his loved ones. The rewarding expression on his face spoke volumes about his pride in the life he had created. Although he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on through cherished memories and the love he left behind. Daddy always remember “love you more”❤️
