It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Joseph Campagna, a devoted father, proud grandfather, cherished friend, who left us far too soon at the age of 49. Wayne was a man whose heart belonged to his family. Nothing meant more to him than his children and his beloved grandson, who brought him endless joy and pride. He poured his heart into everything he did, especially his work at St. James Place, where he found not just a job, but a second home. He cherished the many laughs and conversations with his residents and coworkers.
A lifelong New Orleans Saints fan, he never missed a game when it was on TV. Win or lose, he cheered with all his heart, wearing the black and gold with pride and passion. Those who knew Wayne will remember his warm smile and his infectious laughter. He leaves behind a legacy of love, craftsmanship, and kindness that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving children, Brandon Campagna and Kenlee Campagna; mother of his child, Amber Campagna; his cherished grandson, Jasper Campagna; his siblings, Candy, Catherine (Jeff), Delores (Tracy) and Sal Campagna; his beloved uncles & aunts, Uncles Jack and Joey, Aunts Blanche, Mary, Lisa, Margie, Diana, Mildred, and Kathy, and countless cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and coworkers who will miss him dearly. Wayne is preceded in death by his wife, Serena Hardy Campagna; his parents, Wayne Joseph Campagna Sr., and Rita Augustine Campagna; his brother, Wayne.
All those whose lives Wayne has touched are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 9:00 AM- 11:00 AM. A funeral service will begin at 11:00AM.
