At just 13 years of age, she started working at Mr. Gerald’s Grocery Store in Poydras, LA. Soon after, she landed a waitressing job at Mutt’s Restaurant where she worked until Mr. Mutt passed away. She then went on to waitress at various restaurants in the parish, including The Marina Wharf, Tony’s Poboys, Bubba Johns Seafood, Today’s Ketch, Lil Fishermen, Par 3, Quick Wok and others, eventually ending her career at China Ruby, where she waitressed for over 15 years. She will be missed tremendously by all that knew her.
