

Lyman devoted 33 years of service to the ATSF Railroad, where he ultimately retired as Manager of Quality Control in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He took great pride in his work and truly enjoyed his management career, forming many friendships with colleagues throughout his time. After his retirement in 1995, he moved to Sun Lakes, Arizona.
In Sun Lakes, Lyman became a parishioner at St. Stevens Catholic Church and in his leisure, he was an avid golfer. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Lyman is survived by his significant other, Marilyn Capra, whom he shared 17 years with; his sons, Damon Kletecka (Cathy) and Stephan Kletecka, both of Albuquerque, NM; grandsons, Matthew Kletecka and Zachary Kletecka, both of Albuquerque, NM; and his sister, Winona Gibson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Sophia Kletecka; his sisters, Irene Calsing, Helen Williams, Grace Smith; and brothers, Norman Kletecka, Alfred Kletecka, Duane Kletecka, Roger Kletecka, Alan Kletecka.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Hospice of the Valley for all their loving care.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass to be held at St. Stevens Catholic Church, 24827 S Dobson Rd, Sun Lakes, AZ 85248, on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest following Mass in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, in Phoenix, AZ.
A reception to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Sun Lakes Country Club golf course pro shop (Mulligans): 25601 S. Sun Lakes Blvd., Sun Lakes, AZ 85248.
