Al was born in Brooklyn, New York to Albert S Gargiulo and Mary Louise Gargiulo. He proudly served his country in the United States Army where he spent time in Panama. He grew up in Brawley, Ca with his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister. He came from a very hard working family that began farming and continue to farm today. He moved to Arizona and began working in the recruiting business for colleges and high schools. He traveled throughout Arizona to various Indian reservations and made many friends along the way. He was well respected and liked by everyone who met him. He would be the first to tell anyone that his greatest accomplishments and what he loved the most was his family. He was the strength and the glue that held our family together. He lived life to the fullest and left an impact on everyone who was lucky enough to cross paths with him. He passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his two children Carla Gargiulo and Tina ( Mark ) Cummings and their mother Sharon Gargiulo, 4 grandchildren Taylor and Shelby Gargiulo and Samantha ( Blake ) Johnston and Zachary Cummings. His first great-granddaughter Leah Marie Johnston is due on September 23rd, brothers Thomas Gargiulo and Philip Gargiulo, nieces and nephews Cindy ( Howard ) Elmore, Julie ( Ray ) Babb, Amy ( Ray ) Hannon, Barbra ( Todd ) Kinder-Williams, and Kathy, Joe, Ted and Thomas Kinder, . Great nieces and nephews Sarah and Kate Elmore, Alec, Paige, and Charlie Babb, Meghan and Sally Hannon, Drake Kinder-Seals and Marlena Kinder-Williams. Cousin Toni ( Jerry ) Whitney-Hicks and family. Al was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary Lou Kinder and brother in law Joseph Kinder.
