Alexandra Herrera Rodriguez, age 63, of Chandler, Arizona, passed away on October 4, 2026. Born on August 26, 1963, in Chandler, Arizona, Alex lived a life marked by steady devotion to her family, quiet strength, and a generosity that reached far beyond what was required or expected.
Alex graduated from Chandler High School. She was born to Jose (Cheche) Rodriguez and Esperanza Herrera Rodriguez, who preceded her in passing.
Deeply family-oriented, Alex found her greatest joy in time spent with those she loved. She cherished the tradition of yearly family vacations, most often traveling together to Flagstaff and throughout Northern Arizona—moments that reflected her enduring commitment to keeping family close and creating lasting memories. Her resilience and selfless care were evident in the way she consistently showed up for family and friends, offering help whenever it was needed.
Alex’s creativity and artistic spirit were present in the everyday ways she made life brighter. She loved to read, enjoyed going to the movies—especially for her superheroes and Transformers—and delighted in arts and crafts. Holiday decorating was another expression of her thoughtful care, and she never turned away from a good horror story. Music was a constant companion, with oldies playing often, and she especially loved to sing along to the movie musical, Grease.
A lover of wolves and nature, Alex carried an appreciation for the world’s quiet beauty, paired with a hard-working determination and a compassionate heart. She will be remembered as beloved by many—someone whose strength could be relied upon, whose generosity was freely given, and whose presence brought comfort and steadiness to those around her.
Alex is survived by her children: Daughters, Sophia (Daniel) Rodriguez and Selena Sanchez Rodriguez; Sons, Orlando (Cesar) Rodriguez and Andre (Jaden) Rodriguez; Grandson, Elijah Munoz; Sister, Marta (Jose) Sanchez; Brothers: LeRoy (Stephanie) Rodriguez, Joe Rodriguez and Alfred Rodriguez, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Alex's Life will be held on Monday, October 12, 2026, at 10:00 am at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery, Sunbird Room, 10940 E Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, Arizona 85248.
