After they sold the business they moved to Cedar Rapids, IA and eventually to Sun Lakes, AZ. Al easily made friends in all his journeys. He loved life, hunting, fishing, reading, watching Westerns on TV, grilling, getting icees for the neighbor girls Jaya and Maya Scherkenbach, telling stories and having a great time. Pam, My heart is breaking for you. The last time we saw Al in person was when we helped with moving. Al was always so good at making sure the boys had had fun no matter what we were doing. He sent them home with a remote controll helicopter that gave them, their cousins and friends many hours of fun playing outside. We will always remember Al. We are here for you always.
