I can't believe that it is real; my friend of forty-two years has passed. We were professional colleagues from November 1969 through May 12, 1972; we left our employ at the public accounting firm, on the same day, to pursue other opportunities.  We remained close through the years, even maintaining IM and telephone relationships, (always being mindful of the time zone differential between New York and Arizona) after Arnie and Karen's move out West.

My thoughts of the good times we shared are special; I am extremely saddened by your sudden and untimely demise.

We may be among Arnie's newest friends, but that did not preclude the bond that has formed over the last few years: the roadtrips (complete with singing), the Paul McCartney concert, our numerous discussions and Arnie's stories about sports, politics and his career.  Everytime we sat down to eat, Arnie would hold up a beverage and toast, "To good friends."  He was the best friend and we cannot begin to express the empty feelings in our hearts.
