Balina and I were friends and high school classmates, I count myself richer for knowing her! 

I have not seen Balina for many years but just last week I thought of her when I heard a Roy Orbison song. We listened to her Orbison 8-track tape one evening when we were 16, back then I only listened to Conway Twitty and Jim Reeves. Without her influence I would not know about that genre of music.

Balina was such a nice country girl and I know that everyone will be missing her.

At the cemetary on Saturday, May 5,a crowd of family and friends were gathered for Balina. The sun was shining so beautiful, cottonwood cotton drifted down serenely, and three hawks circled above riding an updraft; it was a fitting homecoming for Balina...

Dearest Balina, 
It is hard to express what a loss we all feel now that you are no longer here.  I am thankful to be so fortunate as to have known you all of my life and I will always have very happy memories of you.  You have touched so many with your sweet, upbeat spirit; your smile was always contagious!!  I will truly miss you, Balina!!!  Thank you for all you have done for me and my family, and for always being there for my mom.  You are in a much better place now with our Lord and I know you are at peace.  Until I see you again in Heaven....much love to you...

I am still in shock, i have known Balina since High school, I went on my first blind date with her and her boyfriend at the time. Life is so delicate..one day you are here and poof you are taken by our loving lord.

We will miss you, glad that you were able to come to church and see your friends there.  Buster will miss you baby sitting him too :)

Balina, I know your in a better place now. I'm sure you're doing the books behind the pearly gates already. We will all miss you with that silly laugh that you have, which made us laugh more! I know too that you will be looking for Elvis if you haven't found him already :) I enjoyed our friendship. It just won't be the same for the "Donald" (DUCK). I'll catch up with you one day in the future. Until then, take care. My prayers are with your family.

Miss Balina will be missed. I am happy to have had her in my extended family for this past decade. I will miss her enthusiastic and loving presence at family functions. She such a proud mother and grandmother, and she took such joy in her family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time, I worked with your mom when she was a bookeeper at my store I worked at, she always had pictures of her family to share. she will be missed.

Balina always had a smile on her face and always almost giggling when she spoke of her boys and her Grandbabies !!!! My prayers to her family at this time. She will truely be missed.

The last words we heard Balina say were "I love you." Although I didn't have the chance to get to know her very well, I know that she loved her family and those words came straight from her heart. She leaves behind a wonderful family that will always remember her warm smile.

I did not know Balina personally, but I think she made some great kids, so she must have been a wonderful lady!  Much love to all affected by her loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with Balina's family during this difficult time.  I will always remember Balina with a smile on her face and much love for her family in her heart.
