Barbara Ann DeNapoli, a beloved and cherished member of her community, passed away on October 12, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on March 9, 1942, in Bakersfield, California, Barbara lived a life full of love and dedication to her family and passions.
Barbara was the daughter of H.B. Walker and Bertha Evanell Walker, both of whom predeceased her. She was also preceded in death by her beloved aunt, Robbie Collins. Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Joseph Thomas DeNapoli, her son Brian DeNapoli (Katie), and her granddaughter Brie Smith (Riley).
Barbara graduated with a high school diploma and went on to have a successful career as a supervisor for the Pacific telephones in California. Her professional life was marked by her commitment and leadership.
In her personal life, Barbara was an avid golfer and bowler, and she enjoyed shopping and spending quality time with her family and friends. She was an active member of the Iron Oaks Women's Golf Club, where she shared her love for the sport and built lasting friendships.
In lieu of services, which were not Barbara's wish, the family requests that donations be made to samaritanspurse.org in her memory. Barbara's warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
