Born in 1933 in Boise, Idaho, “Barbie” met the love her life Ron and they made their home in North Dakota where they raised 6 children, 5 sons and 1 daughter. Barbie was an accomplished pianist who filled her home with the classics and contemporaries to the delight of all. Known for her ever-present cheerfulness and sense of humor, Barbie leaves cherished memories that will sustain the many who will deeply miss her.
Barbie is survived by her children Ronald Jack Erickson, Jr. (Anne), Debra Lynn Erickson Broadfoot (Randy), James Michael Erickson (Debbi), Thomas Alan Erickson (Sheila), 17 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Ronald Jack Erickson, Sr., sons John Stephen Erickson, Sr. and Robert Scott Erickson, grandchildren John (Jack) Stephen Erickson, Jr. and Jessika Lee Erickson, father J. Willis Jobe and mother Emily E. Jobe Magnusson, brothers James W. Jobe and Michael E. Jobe.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at 10:30 AM at the Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery's Mausoleum Chapel located at 10940 E Chandler Heights Road in Chandler, Arizona.
