Beatriz “Bea” Espinosa, age 96, was born on February 21, 1930, in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, and passed away on August 22, 2026. Bea resided in San Tan Valley, Arizona. Throughout a long and meaningful life, Bea was marked by steady resilience, a devoted heart, and a quiet, kind spirit that expressed itself most naturally through service to her children and others.
Born to Jacinto “Jesse” and Mercedes “Meche” P. Espinoza, Bea was raised in Nogales, where she attended primary school and Academia Cabrera. From her earliest years, she carried forward a strength that would sustain her through life’s changes, paired with a selfless attentiveness to family and those around her.
Bea worked in retail and also served as a stenographer and secretary in the law industry. In every role, she brought diligence and care—work done faithfully, with consideration for others, and with the steady reliability that earned trust over time.
In 1955, Bea married Victor “Vic” Espinosa. Their marriage endured for 47 years, until Vic’s passing in June, 2002. Bea’s devotion to her family remained a defining constant, expressed in the everyday ways that matter most—showing up, helping without being asked, and offering warmth that made others feel seen and supported.
Bea, who is also known affectionately as 'Tichi' to her family, is survived by her daughters: Mercedes (Ron) Tuzik; Lorraine Espinosa; Patricia Espinosa; Stephanie (Jon) Espinosa; and her sons: Victor M. (Carol) Espinosa II; Robert (Donna) Espinosa; and Mark (Cathy) Espinosa.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Michele Espinosa, Victor M. (Rhonda) Espinosa III, David (Megan) Espinosa, Reina Mia Espinosa, Rachel (D.J.) Great Grandchildren: Amanda Hendey, Briahna (Simon) Hendey-Lalonde, Gisele Espinosa, Jacob Espinosa, Alex Burns, Noah Burns, Layla Espinosa, Felix Espinosa, Kasen Espinosa, Tyler Oakley, Aubri Oakley and Kaleigh Ruiz. She is also survived by her sister, Mercedes (Daniel) Carrizosa; and Ricki Stanfield, whom Bea considered as her daughter.
Bea was preceded in passing by her husband, Victor Espinosa; her daughter Ruth Ann Espinosa Lahaie; her parents; her sisters: Irma Alcantara and Julia Espinoza; and her brothers: Fausto Espinoza, Oscar Espinoza and Marco Espinoza.
Bea found joy in the simple, faithful rhythms of daily life. She loved cooking for her family, and her care was often felt most clearly whenever her family was around her. She enjoyed visiting the casino every now and then, and she also delighted in window shopping—simple visits to the store were among her favorite ways to pass time. When she could, she crocheted, took long walks, and spent time visiting friends and family—small, steady pleasures that reflected her giving nature. Most precious to her were her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She would always say, “They give me life.”
A longtime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Queen Creek, Bea’s life reflected a quiet constancy—devotion lived out through presence, kindness, and enduring love. She will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude by all who were blessed to know her.
