Betty Lee Bunting

83, of Mesa, AZ passed peacefully on Dec. 1, 2015. Betty Lee was born on February 27th 1932 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to her father - John Marvin Wilson and mother Mildred Doughty. She had one brother Charles T. Wilson.

A young and beautiful Betty Lee married Alva M. Bunting Jr. on June 10th 1951 and they recently celebrated their 64th anniversary. After 10 years of marriage Betty gave birth to her one and only son, Michael David who was her true pride & joy from the moment he was born. She was a warm and loving wife & mother and loved by all who knew her.

Betty loved animals and supported causes to help protect them and find them homes where they could be loved & cared for as she had loved and cared for so many throughout her life. Her favorite animal friend was her childhood horse named Dixie.

Betty is survived by her husband Alva M. Bunting Jr., son Michael David Bunting and daughter-in-Law Denise M. Bunting. We will all miss her very much but will always carry a part of her with us in our hearts.

A memorial service is being held on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Valley the Sun Mortuary, 10940 E. Chandler Heights rd., Chandler, AZ 85248. Friends are invited to a reception lunch immediately following at her son’s home in Gilbert, AZ.

This will be an “Open Ceremony” for people that would like to speak and share their memories.

In lieu of flowers, Betty would surely prefer that contributions be made on her behalf to either Hospice of the Valley or the Arizona Humane Society for the wonderful work they do.
