62, of San Tan Valley, Arizona, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2011 after a very courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Houlton, Maine on November 24, 1948. Betty is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Florence (Rouse) Adams and first husband Edmund L. "Bucky" Merry. She is survived by her husband Guy Carter; son and daughter-in-law Lawrence and Jennifer Merry; daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Todd Sullivan; step-daughter Denise Carter; and granddaughter Kassandra Dumais. Services will be held at Valley of the Sun Mortuary, 10940 East Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, Arizona; viewing on Friday, March 18th at 6 PM and funeral Saturday, March 19th at 10 AM.
