BJ & I went to school together... I worked at El Taco!  She was such a fun wonderful & loving person.  I wanted to reconnect with her this winter & did not know where to call or start... I kept getting this nagging feeling to reconnect with my best friend from high school ...I didn't!

Betty Jo is a very special soul. She was always so kind and thoughtful to others and I am lucky to have known her. Betty Jo, we will miss your smile and wonderful laugh, until we meet again.

I remember Betty Jo from when her family owned the El Taco here in Douglas. She was always such a sweet person, so full of life. If we didn't visit at the resaturant we would at my family's business Douglas Electric. God Speed my friend.

Jeff and Grajeda Family, take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you may she rest in peace.

I first met BettyJo in 1999 working at Next Care Urgent Care. I found out later that her sister Edna, who also worked there, wanted us to work the same shift because she knew we would hit if off. And that we did. Unfortunately, our boss also figured out that he shouldn't schedule the two of us together because we did more talking than seeing patients. 
BettyJo was the most caring Physician I have ever met. She was also the dearest friend anyone could ever have. She has always been there to help me no matter what. She was also my partner in seeking answers with alternative medicine. We went to many lectures together. I only wish we could have found more answers on ways to prevent and treat cancer. 
She was truly a special person, one of a kind, and she touched so many people in so many ways. I will miss her every day of my life. I love you BJ!

She was a woman of strength and dignity.  When she spoke, her words were wise and kindness was the guide for everything she said and did.  We were blessed to know you, and we will miss you, Betty Jo.

My condolences to the Grajeda Family. I am so sorry for your loss. i remember she was always laughing when we were in high school. Prayers for your family.

Betty Jo made all of us realize that love is something you should disperse on a daily basis, courage comes in small petite packages, and life is very precious & way, way too short. Our condolences to Jeff, & to B.J.'s family & extended family of friends, & of course to the fuzzy 4-legged pets who were by her side every step of this journey. She will be profoundly missed.

My cousin, my cousin, my cousin. What can I say? I am heartbroken at your passing. You were always so kind to your snot nosed younger cousin (me) whenever my folks went over to your house to visit. I remember being so proud of you when your picture came out in the Douglas Dispatch when you were serving the Douglas community as ambulance attendant. I was even prouder when I learned that you had become an M.D. . 

You have always been truly loved by your family and served  an inspiration to it's younger members. My Nino Joe used to tell you that you can be whatever you wanted to be. I have always told my own children the same thing...only I always added you as an example.  

Thank you for being a part of my life.

Our world was a brighter, happier, more loving place with Betty Jo in it. Her smile would light up a room, her compassion would put you at ease. She had such a kind, beautiful spirit. She was a natural care giver and because of her quick wit, a joy to be around. Our most sincere condolences to Jeff, her family and her many, many friends.

Our sincerest sympathies to Jeff and B.J.'s family. We remember with fondness the great times we had with B.J. She will be missed immensely by her friends and co-workers at the VA.
