Betty Jane Stevens went to be with our lord and savior on 20 Jan 2018. She was 93 years of age.
Betty was born in Washington Twp. in Western PA. She married John F Stevens in 1943 and had two sons. They spent their retirement years (1981-2008) near Phoenix, AZ. At John’s passing in 2008 Betty moved to Oak Harbor, WA to be near family.
She was an active volunteer; working with special needs children and visiting @ nursing homes. Her hobbies included sewing and knitting and she was a great cook! In her younger years she was also an avid swimmer and got her boys involved in swimming at a young age at the nearby public pool. Another great source of great joy in her life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by: sons Ira (Frances), Sam (Kathy), granddaughters Kelly (Garth Anderson), Courtney (Jeffrey Acton), and great grandchildren Kira, Grace, and Kamryn Anderson and Coen, Addison, and Eliza Acton.
