Dear Loved Ones, 
My brother recently emailed me the news of Carrie’s passing. And, naturally, the memories of her began flooding my mind and heart. 
Carolyne and I were in the same graduating class from Seton. My birthday is two days after hers. She, Michelle and I were the “babies” of the class. 
I remember Carrie for her kind, generous heart and megawatt smile. After she had each of her girls she and I had long heartfelt visits. She was a proud doting Mama who was totally absorbed by them, their future and their happiness. I was a struggling university student who couldn’t imagine being a mother of one much less two young precious daughters. She totally impressed me with her natural selflessness and unconditional love for them. 
Our lives diverged after I graduated from ASU and moved from the area, but my memories of her remain strong. She touched my life with her sincere belief in the goodness of people, and her willingness to deal with the curveballs life inevitably throws at us without bitterness or regret. 
My sincere condolences to each member of her family and the friends who inhabited her circle and added to her life.  I count myself fortunate in being one of the people who knew her and was cared for by her. The memory of her friendship touched my life in innumerable ways. 
With gratitude and fondness I pray for her and those she loved.

Dearest Valenzuela family, We're deeply sorry that Carrie is no longer with us. I'll miss seeing her beautiful face and hearing her laughter.  She  is in better hands now, no more suffering, no more pain.  Never forgotten!  Please be strong, safe, love each other and continue the family legacy, in Jesu's name.  God bless you

A heart of Gold is what my one little Gunner saw in you. From that very moment on you have always been our Auntie Gold! I'm sad Auntie that you have left our earthly place. Generosity was Carrie's specialty, both in her relationships and in sharing the fruits of her many talents.   She made it possible to reconnect, not only with her but with other friends from decades ago, and create new, rich memories.  Thanks to all of her family who so graciously invited us into their homes.  Our hearts go out to all of you who loved her deeply.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
