

Carrie Ann Frillman, a beloved and kind-hearted woman, passed away on July 26, 2025, at the age of 66 in Sun Lakes, Arizona. Carrie was born in Mankato, Minnesota, on March 2, 1959, to Michael and Jacqueline (Lambert) Maystadt.
Carrie and her family moved to Carroll, Iowa when she was a young girl. She graduated from Kuemper High School in 1977 and pursued a career in nursing. Most of her nursing years were spent at Bergan Mercy in Omaha, Nebraska, where she touched countless lives and built deep, lasting friendships.
Carrie was a devoted mother to her one and only son, Steve. Her greatest joy came with the birth of her grandson, Jack, who became the light of her life. She was one of Jack’s biggest supporters and her constant presence at his events will be deeply missed.
Beyond her career and family, Carrie was an active member of the Chandler Lions Club, serving her community with the same compassion and dedication that defined her life. She had a deep love for music, which brought joy not only to her own life but to those around her.
Carrie made her home in Sun Lakes, Arizona, where she continued to share her warmth, kindness, and generosity with everyone she met. Her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her son, Steve Harnack (Shannon), and her beloved grandson, Jack, of Chandler, AZ; her brothers Scott Maystadt of Anacortes, WA; Michael Maystadt of Carroll, IA; Jim Maystadt (Julie) of Ely, MN; and Thomas Maystadt (Jennifer) of New Orleans, LA. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Carrie was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Charlotte Rae Harnack, and her parents, Michael and Jacqueline Maystadt.
