He was born and raised in Burlington Iowa, where he graduated from Burlington High School. Charles worked a variety of jobs in his life, from food service, to electric motors, to non-profit work. He had a passion for his family, for ringing the bell during the holidays, and Nascar.
Charles is survived by his wife Phyllis (Kay); His children, Tammy, Traci, Jesse, Nicole and Ronald; Over 20 grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren; As well as his father William, and his sister Karen.
