

Charles graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. His early life was marked by his service in the Army during the Korean War, followed by a distinguished career with the Merchant Marines. He later pursued a successful career in Avionic Engineering.
On February 21, 1954, Charles married Jo Ann Kay Nelson in Baltimore, Maryland. Together, they raised a family and shared many cherished moments. He is survived by his sons, Jeff Hunter and Mike Hunter, and his grandchildren, Aaron and Riley. He is also remembered by his late son Charles's partner, Dave. Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jo Ann and his son Charles Hunter, Jr.
In his personal life, Charles was an avid golfer and had a passion for travel, with Hong Kong and Singapore being among his favorite destinations.
A funeral service will be held at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery, located at 10940 E Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, Arizona, 85248. There will be a visitation from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by the service at 12:00 pm on July 18, 2025.
Charles Kenneth Hunter will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his contributions to engineering, and his adventurous spirit.
