Christine Marie Begg, age 73, passed away on Saturday September 26, 2026. A lover of classic films and classic Rock, Christine was born March 19, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois. One of six children, as a child she loved helping her mom in the kitchen, finding stray dogs in the neighborhood to take home, much to her mother’s dismay, and fighting over the television with her older sister.
Her greatest joy was raising her son. As a mother, she worked hard to cultivate a safe, caring home and sharing her love of films with him. In 1988 she married the love of her life, embarking on a journey that would lead her from her roots in Chicago to the quiet mountains of Prescott, Arizona, and then eventually Phoenix. Christine was a strong - some would say stubborn - woman who embodied the Flower Power era of the Sixties, but at her heart she was a kind, compassionate person who loved spending time with her whole family.
Christine is preceded in death by her mom and dad, John and Mary Davalos, as well as her older sister Gloria Ferm. She is survived by her husband Terry Begg, son John Begg, brothers John, Rich and Steve Davalos, her sister Debbie Mitchell, and 12 nieces and nephews who will all miss her dearly. She lived life on her own terms, and passed into death the same way.
